Hooked On Farming

January 21, 2017

Did you know the first meeting to discuss the possibility of a Rug Hooking Guild in Nova Scotia happened right here in New Ross back in 1975? Join us this Saturday, January 21st from 1-3pm at the Learning Centre here at Ross Farm Museum for the official opening of the "Hooked On Farming" hooked rug display. The exhibit, curated by Heather Gordon consists of farm themed rugs that have been contributed by folks from all over Nova Scotia each telling their own story of life on the farm. The hooked rug exhibit will be on display from now until April 30th, 2017.

Cost is general admission and also includes access to the museum site and our rug hooking event that is also taking place this weekend in Rosebank Cottage.

Along with the rug hooking exhibit, there will also be a series of rug hooking workshops and Winter "Hook-ins".
