Hooked on Farming

Hooked on Farming

Did you know the first meeting to discuss the possibility of a Rug Hooking Guild in Nova Scotia happened right here in New Ross back in 1975? On January 21st, 2017 here at the Ross Farm Learning Centre held the official opening of the "Hooked On Farming" hooked rug display. The exhibit, curated by Heather Gordon consists of farm themed rugs that have been contributed by folks from all over Nova Scotia each telling their own story of life on the farm. The hooked rug exhibit will be on display until April 30th, 2017.

Cost is general admission and also includes access to the museum site and our rug hooking event that is also taking place this weekend in Rosebank Cottage.

Along with the rug hooking exhibit, there will also be a series of rug hooking workshops and Winter "Hook-ins".
